Video for “Hate or Glory“ by Gesaffelstein // Blend of the “get rich or die tryin’” beats of the “Grand Theft Auto” games and King Midas cautionary tale.
Video for “Nuclear Black Noise” by Jerobeam Fenderson // This track is part of Nuclear White Noise • Nuclear Black Noise, a composition for continuous or discrete frequency spectra. Here only sine waves (discrete frequencies) were used. Using the harmonic series, i.e. integral multiples of the fundamental frequency, an unlimited variety of sound spectra can be created (additive synthesis). Left/right channels cause vertical/horizontal deflection on an oscilloscope, which was filmed for this video. Each frequency’s
phasing differs between both channels, so that the waveforms look
different on each, whereby complex interference patterns and shapes can
be created (lissajous figures).
If something is important enough, you should try. Even if the probable outcome is failure

Video for “For Blood” by Bass Drum of Death // It’s a story of a pain-in-the-ass neighborhood kid who gets his bike stolen and hatches a plan to get it back, which is a pretty sweet blueprint on how you can get revenge on all the haters, i.e. hide, and then “throw something at them”
Video for “Elastic Heart” by Sia // “We thought it would be interesting he’s [Shia] working with Maddie as if she is one of his self states”, Sia explained the concept of the video [which is part of a trilogy], “maybe an inner child, or maybe like one of his demons”. While video’s co-director Daniel Askill added: “I see them as the same person, the cage is kind of the skull”
Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent
